Problem adding Accent LED lights

the problem im having is.. I hook light set up to my bike, connect to battery, and turn on. they will work just fine. but now as soon as I start my bike and turn on , they will turn themselves off after about 20 sec. , I have hooked to other bikes and car they work just fine. I have tried to move the controller around to different areas, no luck. I have switched out controller several times along with wiring harness and remotes. nothing seems to work. the bike is A 96 Kawasaki zl600. it seems like something on the bike is causing the interference but have no idea what it could be.
