Hi

I currently own a 1987 Yamaha FZ750G (DynoTek coils fitted) and am suffering with the following problem(s):

After riding for aproximately 10 miles it appears as if the limiter kicks in at around 6000rpm, i.e. the bike starts to misfire and obviously losses power. As soon as I drop the revs down below the 6000rpm threshold the bike runs fine. I have checked the carburretor set up, the condition of the plugs and replaced them, checked the fuel tank breather which is fine but am still unable to ascertain the problem. In your experience is this a known fault with this model or in fact any other Yamahas? can you please either point me in the right direction or advise on any other things I can investigate.

Many thanks in advance.
