Headlight system short help needed

Hi. Am 4-year 86 FZ-750 rider. My first bike, bought used, and am learning to do some repairs. Great ride, but it has reliability issues after 25+k mi. Am requesting help to find and fix a short in headlight system that burns the fuse. Problem just appeared. If new fuse, bike starts and runs OK, but headlight system fuse burns a few minutes after start-up. May be related to high-low switch. The first time the problem appeared, the high beam indicator light was partially lit at start-up although the switch was on low beam. Any solutions, ideas or experience with this problem are greatly appreciated. Thanks!
