Driving the SRX since 15 years |

I´m owning and driving the SRX6 since it was sold the first time in 1986. I have made over 40´000km with it until now, most of them "dry", means no rain, no snow. Never had any hassle. I have tuned the (swiss version of) the motor from 42 to 48 HP, changed the size of the rear tire (bigger). The next I want to do is to add a Marzocchi rear suspension. The SRX6 is a pure and naked bike which makes a lot of fun. Sensational handling and a solid acceleration are making this bike a great deal for everyone, who loves biking on small roads and does not need a boulevard bluffer model. Starting this engine can be quite painful if the motor is already hot. But this is a problem that all elder monocylindre machines have. But I would not recommend the SRX6 to people who are bigger than 1.80m (6 ft.) or heavier than 100kg. |
