Hey Spanky, I´ve had a 96 ACE 1100cc for 3 years now and yesterday was the first time I managed to cruise at just over 93 mph (flat and straight road, slight backwind). Usually, it does top out around 80-85 mph (riding solo with fairing). Although this might seem slow, I never felt the need to cruise at higher speeds. Up here in Quebec, highway speeds are 60 mph max. I´ve heard the engines are factory locked at 85 mph in order to insure a long and prosper engine life (makes sense!).
