My last ride was a 1984 VF1000R Interceptor....12 years ago. I just recently bought a 1996 Shadow 1100 ACE and have only ridden it a couple of times. (awaiting cycle class next week to get license and insurance discount) I will say that I had to bring it back to my place from over 40 miles away in very high winds and it was still comfortable to me. Don´t know about the long trips, yet. My girlfriend is not a small girl and I weigh 203, myself, but I did take her down the street and back with no issues. We actually went up a steep hill and it pulled like a champ.
