Dude, you should only shift five times in a six speed bike....
Here, i´ll lay the general idea out for you...
To start the bike moving, you clutch it, start it, then finally, here comes the amazing part, you touch the shifter pedal (the one on the left) DOWN (there´s first gear!), then as you progress through the gears, you may pull up with your toe, while you clutch, this should occur five times to get into 6th gear. I own one personally and i´ve been riding since i was 7, i know these things.
