Hi,

I just bought a 1986 ZL 600 with very low mileage and in very good condition. I´m very pleased with the way it drives.

After checking the specifications on the internet I found out the ZL 600 has a 6 speed gear box.

However, I am only counting 5 gears when shifting.

I called the store and the guy explained that shifting from 1 till 5 is 6 gears. I owned a Yamaha XJ600 before and that bike really had 6 gears....as in shifting gears 6 times in total.

Now I´m only shifting 5 times in total.

Can somebody help or explain this to me.
