i have just bought a 1996 cbr 600 and i am having some problems getting it started from cold. i pull the choke fully out and hit the starter button for 5/10 seconds and it will just turn over (with out using the throttle) i wait a minute and try again and it may half catch on and then stop. after repeating the procedure for a few mins it will start and tick over but if i move the choke up and down it has no effect on the rpm. is it that the choke is not working? should it change the rpm if the choke is working properly?
