I have come upon an 86 vfr, that I would define close to a basket case. The bike only has 16K miles on it.As the current owner tells me, it ran last season, but a family of mice moved into the air box this past winter and all their little gatherings seized up the carbs. Now it wont start plus they chewed into the battery cable wiring which seems it wont turn over either. The best way I can describe the bike is pretty ragged. The good side of this story is that I can get it for about $400,I am a pretty good mechanic so Iwould be doing most of the work. Am I having illusions of grandeur or does this seem like a workable situation. thanks eddie cap |
