Hi Rick, Now that you mention it, it also burns taillights though not as often (every couple months). The blinkers sometimes won´t blink just a solid light, i´ll tap on rear blinker and they start to blink. I used to have aftermarket blinkers, but I put the originals back on and have had problems ever since. I wish I could fix problem so I can ride to work again. As far as your oil system goes, the oil runs up through the frame. You´ll notice a small plug as the frame goes up to the dipstick. There is a small screen in there to clean. If your bike has a skid plate, it´s the stud in front that holds it in place. Doesn´t really look like a drain plug. This will drain the top part of frame. Now, directly below and in a little from shift lever is crankcase plug. I believe the motor oil serves gear box at the same time as crank case. The whole system holds about 2 quarts or so. There is also a drain plug just inside archway of rear brake pedal. Most of these bikes are hard to restart because they load up, having two carbs. When this happens I turn gas off, pull compression release and hold in while cranking over approx. 10 times to help release some fuel. You can also turn gas off and hold throttle wide open , sometimes this helps when you stall on hills. They´re tricky! Hope this helps. Later...
