Does anybody know about a blown head-gasket problem with these bikes? I have an ´86 XL 600 that has already blown two head gaskets and is currently leaking out of the third one right now. I would love for someone to e-mail me if you have any information. As to anybody having trouble kick-starting these bikes, try disconnecting the automatic decompression mechanism connected to the kick starter. I did this and had no trouble starting up my bike!!
