Hi, I am Pete Davis, Bristol, UK. I have purchased a 1989 XBR500. It has been left out in all weathers for a good number of years. The engine is seized, and is generally in a state of disrepair. Looking at the picture of the above XBR, mine is also black, however, mine has a dual seat, whereas the above has a single seat with a cover behind. Mine seems to be all original, but I wonder if it has been modified in its past to accommodate the dual seat??? I would be grateful if anyone could answer this for me, as I think I would prefer the single seat version. As I have not started the restoration yet, I would like to look into returning it to its single seat incarnation. Many Thanks in advance. Pete Davis |
