I PURCHASED MY 1989 SOFTAIL CLASSIC USED IN 1995 WITH 5,000 MILES. IT CURRENTLY HAS 32,000 MILES AND HAS NEVER MISSED A BEAT OR LET ME DOWN! I HAVE SPENT AT LEAST $15,000 CUSTOMIZING IT OVER THE YEARS. LOTS OF CHROME, ENGINE WORK, PIPES, SEAT, LOWERING, FAT TIRE KIT. ZERO TO NINETY THIS BIKE RIPS! I´VE TAKEN THIS BIKE ALL OVER THE COUNTRY- UP TO 500 MILES IN A DAY AND IT IS COMFORTABLE. I HAVE A 2002 ROAD KING FOR TOURING, BUT I PREFER TO RIDE MY SOFTAIL DAY IN AND DAY OUT. ONE QUESTION FOR OTHER MUTUAL OWNERS OUT THERE- MY BIKES COLOR IS BLACK ROSE METALLIC (A FACTORY COLOR) AND THE FRAME IS THE SAME COLOR AS THE BIKE. I HAVE BEEN TOLD THAT THIS IS THE ONLY MODEL, YEAR, AND COLOR IN WHICH H/D EVER DID THIS. CAN ANYONE CONFIRM OR REFUTE THIS? I´D LOVE TO KNOW. HOPE YOU ALL ENJOY YOUR RIDE AS MUCH AS I DO!
