ok here is the deal... One night while ridding home (about 1 am) the bike started to die, headlight dimming and such, i reved it up and nursed it a few more miles... checked some connections and such and couldnt see anything wrong. so i thought maybe my cheap crap walmart battery died... called someone up to bring down a jumper pack(a portable charging station) let the battery charge up and rode it a bit more, and repeated till the pack was close to depleated only the last try the bike wouldnt stay running even though it had a bit of juice left in the battery. so after some testing i concluded the RR was dead... pulled it off and the back was all blown out and the wires mostly corroded and disconnected... so i ordered a new one and just installed it... I use my charger to get the bike going but the second i let out the clutch or start button the bike dies, i started going through the wiring to figure it out. if i jump the starter solenoid the bike will fire right up till i remove the wire i am using to jump it... not wanting to ruin my new rectifier i disconnected it... i had noticed the main fuse melting after testing a few things... there are no splices on this bike... i have an after market horn...
