Hey there JH. There is a nut, 19mm (off the top of my head)on the rear of the swing arm. You want to loosten it, but not too loose. Then you take the crescent looking wrench in your tool kit and fit it between the black thing and the rim. There is a notch to where it should slip right in. Then, you have to make sure the tooth catches the thing in there and slowly turn the wrench. A little turn goes a long way, and I´m not sure which direction to turn. Once you know how to do it, it´s not hard...just play with it a little.
