I believe i have the same problem. Mine is an 01 and everyonce in awhile it stalls going downhill, which makes your higher voltage readings make sense and overcharges the battery to drain it. It also seems I have burned out a new batter in three months due to the stator(Regulator/Rectifier I´m assuming is another name) not charging the battery correctly or not at all.
