I bought a new XT600 in February. I was told it was one of the last in the country and the model was running out.
The latest Two Wheels magazine has an article on the new XT660e and they mention that the original XT600e will continue to be built as it is one of Yamaha´s biggest selling bikes.
Performance is smooth not outstanding and is screaming above 125kmh. Handling is almost as good as a sports bike. Braking is ordinary. But around town and on trails is fantastic all round machine. Easy to ride. Easy to fix.For around $8,000 on road, best value for money trail bike on the market. Looks great in black. I´ve dropped mine twice in dirt and never damaged anything yet.
