I bought my first T-Bird in ´95. Put on nearly 60,000 miles. Sold it and got an ´04 Sport. Nice bike but I missed the classic look of the standard. Sold it after 20,000 miles, and then got an´02 T-Bird standard. Had it for 3 yrs. put on another 20,000, and sold it to get a boat. %!¤, what a mistake! I´m now getting a ´97 T-Bird with 9000 miles on it. I´m concerned that the ´02 I had may have had lots of upgrades (i.e. brakes, sprag clutch, rear shock?) and that I may find the ´97 lacking. Yet I´ve heard some guys say ´97&´98 were great years, and that later yrs. the quality deteriorated. What to believe? I´m looking for a King/Queen seat. Appreciate any feedback. Alan |
