I replaced the original air box on a 1977 GS400 E with two open air filters, and the power went up quite a bit. I think the German version had 27 hp originally, and my original manual for the American version gives the same hp. But the same model was sold with up to 36 hp abroad (in Finland: 34 hp, apparently). What accounts for the hp difference?
