My 77 gs550e has a clutch cable (sort of) issue. It does not engage. the former owner put on straight bars, I switched them back to factory hoping that it would help. I adjusted the cabel like my manual said to yet no differance. The cabel runs into a arm on a cog that has an adjustable lever that slides in and out of the trans. this moves freely. my question is. is the sliding rod one part of the adjustment screw? it looks to me that it should be. that it snaped off at the thread end. if it is, how do i find a new one and do i need to pull the trans apart to replace it?
