I bought this sweet lil XS750 from a kid who said he thought it was locked up, I thought it was the kick start jammed up, but turns out the kid was right. So I pulled the plugs and poured in miracle oil left it a day over two and started trying to get it to turn, it wouldn’t. Finally without my knowledge my brother got to the cam chain and somehow got a link loose and removed the chain, unfortuanatley, damaging the chain. There’s now a bent link. My question is can you repair a cam chain with Rivit links or should I buy another one. Can I put a new chain on it without making a break in the chain, was hoping to not tear into it any further. I finally got it freed up and now was hoping to just reassemble it. Any advice. I’m thinking new chain, tear it on down and possibly new pistons and rings and bearings along with the new chain.
