Hello I bought a KTM LC4 620 1997 about a week ago. A few issues have came out since then, and one of them it is very weird…. When I bought the bike, it went fantastic…. The first gear was really long and pushy…. But after a while, the bike has lost part of is initial power…. I took the bike for an inspection and the mechanic found some dirt inside the carburetor. It was cleaned and the bike was running fine, but not as it was the first time when I rode it…but in that time I thought that I’ve had the wrong impression…. So I left it like that…. This morning I took the bike after a few days without using it and I noticed the idle was a little higher than usual and I thought it was due to the cold weather and the engine was warming up…. But when I took it for a ride, the beast has came back…. the bike was amazing powerful!!!! I went to see my GP and after to the chemist …. In both places the bike started at fist kick…. I was ridding so pleasant and after a while the bike went to its initial state… lack of power….the first gear has became short then again… The idle went down (rev) and the electric power was very low… ( I have noticed that form the neutral light, the shine was really poor, absolutely different than when I started the ridding….was green and very shinning)… For these few reasons it is my believe that the bike has something wrong in the electric side.. (Probably the generator????) the carburetor has been check and apparently its clean…. For the symptom of the poor lighting it is my belief that an electric issue is going on in here….. I do not know, may be you can have a clue that what is wrong with the bike…. I would appreciate any helpful comment... Thanks ANGELO |
