i am restoring a 1977 registered 860 that i brought as a basket case it had been stripped down some 20 years ago, at which time the engine was rebuilt by a well known specialist ducati mechanic, cosmetically the bike is now very good, but i had a lot of problems sorting out the eletics as the bike had poorly sorted Honda handlebar switches with it, and a couple of the original relays were knackered. The only problem i now have is that although i have a spark at the plugs on both kick start and battery they are fairly weak, i guess its something to do with the generator or the so called transponder (coils) units. Has anyone had similar problems ? or any helpful advice.
