my roommate bought a 1975 Honda 125cc (i guess CB125) and it ran great, i rode it daily for a few weeks. he didn´t know a thing about bike, let alone classic/vintage Hondas. eventually we encountered some problems - probably from nothing more than neglected routine maintenance... now it will only drive in one gear (can´t remember if it´s 1st or 2nd). you can try to shift through the gears but you only get one. a mechanic friend of mine said it was the synchro mesh- that all it really needs is for the tranny pan to be popped open, fresh oil put in, new gasket kit and that´s it. i´ve heard a few other stories from honda mechanics but it sounds feasible and simple enough to me. any comments???
