This bike, although it has been eclipsed in almost all aspects by the modern whiz-kid machines, remains an honest purpose driven sporting machine with great handling, a beautiful rev-happy motor AND no CB400F report can be complete without mention of the header pipes. Has any bike been praised on the strength of its pipes alone as much as the 400F? No fancy badges, no fancy instruments or gismos. Just enough to get you purring along on a bike that looks built for the track. I think it was the first SuperSport, and remains one of the best. (I have had a couple of beers, so I´m getting a bit sentimental..)
