does anyone know what the gear ratio of the final drive was on a mid to late 70´s gl 1000? I ask because I have been told that they have a lower gear ratio than my 96 shadow 1100. I have also been told that a gl final drive will bolt right on to my shadow. Does anyone know any of this information? I need a lower gear ratio on my shadow because I drag race it.(sure is fun waxing harley,s all day at the strip with a honda v-twin that is usually about 2/3 the cubic inches of their harley v-twins) Any info would be appreciated.
