Sorry, forgot to introduce myself. I´m a DC-area member of the Nations Capital Norton Owners (NCNO). I´ve owned a 75 Interstate since 1979 that I bought somewhat bent up by the 2nd owner, who only had it for a couple of months, so it´s essentially a 2-owner bike. I´ve worked on it, or had it worked on, sporadically over the years, with long periods of it sitting neglected but not forgotten. In the last few years I´ve gotten it back into very good, but not show-worthy, cosmetic condition & have totally rebuilt the engine. I´m aiming for an Ironbutt Saddlesore ride in the next year, but usually I ride it mostly on weekends. Just stumbled onto this site today - I realize my responses to questions are at least a year or 2 late, but I couldn´t resist.
