I had mine for 5 yrs + and still love the thing, solid power way beyond the xr-400 offering,and better suspension and brake components.It pulls 160kmh on straight gravel roads with knobbys,is stable, tracks up monster hills refusing to stall, engine has massively broad power spread, takes ages to wind out or you can short shift allowing the bottom-mid range strength to shine.
Only missgivings are that the steering geometry is set up for fast speeds, so in really tight trails need to spin the rear sometimes to make a really sharp direction change.....use good oil and change often !
