My name´s Michael and I´m based in Christchurch, New Zealand.

I´m seeking information about the Honda CB 650 Luxury Custom. I´m buying one of these motorcycles for my son.

I´m told it is registered with Land Transport New Zealand as a 1986 model but that this might reflect the year in which it was first sold here rather than the year of manufacture, according to a local Honda dealership.

Despite searching online for information about this model and approaching Honda locally, I haven´t been able to find anything definitive yet. The local dealership claim that there aren´t any workshop manuals available in English, claiming that this model was released in Japan only.

Also, it is registered as a CB650LC but Honda seem not to have released a model with that name; the closest I can find is a CB650SC although if a CB650LC model was indeed released in Japan only then I guess English searches won´t pick up much, if anything, about the ´bike.

Can anyone shed some light on this for me, please?!
