China is one of the main sources for motorcycle manufacturing because of its reputation for quality and low prices. Even though motorcycle designs can be from the U.S. or Latin America, there are many brands of motorcycles that are assembled in China such as UM. There are also other brands made in the Asian region that are known for their excellent quality such as Yamaha, Honda, and Kawasaki. Even though UM began closed its manufacturing in the U.S. in 1999, they moved production to China in order to offer its customers high quality at a lower costs than similar motorcycles by the competition. The style and design of the Xtreet has been compared to the Yamaha FZ 16, Honda CBY 150, and Suzuki GS 150R. However, the difference is that the Xtreet has side LED lights and exhaust below the seat. For more information, a comparison of the motorcycles can be found on the UM website. In Latin America, there are dealers located in Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Ecuador, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua, Peru, y Uruguay. Soon, UM will be expanding markets to South Africa, Thailand, and Bangladesh. At the local level, dealers are the first point of contact for the brand in Latin America. They can help with service and maintenance in order to prevent damage and repairs. As UM International expands into other markets, they will be launching events worldwide. You can find news and updates on the UM International Facebook page. Also, we invite you to share your experience on your motorcycle by joining the UM community via social media like Twitter and YouTube. Once you join the online UM community, upload photos and videos to tell us about your motorcycle, find tips, and learn more about events in your area. |
