RE: Drain the Carb for winter storage?

No need to drain the cars for winter. In face, even if you DID drain the carbs, chances are the gas you got in your tank is gonna gum up if you don´t use fuel stabilizer in it. I hate stabil. I LOVE Seafoam which is available at advanced auto and some other places. You DO need to dran the gas tank(including reserve) if u have any gas with ethanol in it in there. After u drain the tank, refill the tank with 100 % pure gas (u may have to look for some in your area) mixed with one oz. of Seafoam additive/stabilizer per gal of gas. Turn on the fuel petcock and start the bike up and let it run thru the carbs for a while, or ride it around the block a few times. Turn the petcock off and ur good to go. Don´t forget to hook up a battery tender! Ethanol gas is only good for about 3 weeks before it starts to attract water and then gum up and make a helluva mess in your fuel system. Take it from me.......I learned the hard way!
