Slow turning tank by Dan L. |

My 2002 Daytona 955i steers like a tank. S-turns are the worse. Getting it out of one turn and into another is like fighting a gyroscope. It turns so slow. Deep in turns I just touch the front break and it dives deeper into the turn. Aproaching a turn I have to break very early because it won´t turn at all untill the front break is released. Went over the yellow line a couple of times till I figured that one out. I think the front fork springs are just too soft, and I have the spring adjustment fully in. I admit I am a 240 pound load and like to ride agressively on mountian roads, but I road my brothers Bandit and the handeling was like a dream. Far better than the Daytona. I have searched the web for better fork springs but it looks like nobody makes them yet. |
