| Production of the Model X ended with the outbreak of World War II. From the late’30s, Matchless started to produce an engine with overhead valves: the most performing twin- cylinder of that period, mounted in series not only by Matchless, but also by other renowned companies, such as Brough Superior and Morgan. The Model X is still considered an icon today and the few pieces still available on the market are sold for very high sums. |
