With this being my first venture into road biking this past year I wanted to go for sumthing that I could get alot of speed for the money and still get great fuel mileage. This is the perfect bike for that purpose. I get between 55 and 60 mpg and I have had it up to 130 mph and it was very stable and had plenty of steam left. I can outrun my brothers ´84 vfr750 and keep up with my dad´s ´04 harley screaming eagle with over 115 horse!!Great bike for going downtown and having to deal with traffic. aslo, very good for longer trips with its cushy seat and comfortable upright seating postition but the ability to hide behind the full fairing is still there and very useful. I once got stuck riding home with just a t-shirt in a hard rain/hail downpour, I was able to tuck behind the fairing and just ride it out with bearable comfort. Would recommend getting this bike for anyone just starting or trying to get back into riding. More experienced might want to look for newer model, this is why I am planning to buy a ´03-´05 yamaha R6 in the next year or two. | |
