Alot of people think of Harleys as either an outlaw bike or a yuppies ride. Well I am neither. I wanted to buy American so I bought an ´04 Super Glide in May of ´04 off the show room. Yes I went into debt but I have been in love with it ever since.

Let me tell all of you out there that at first I owned an old 1976 Honda CB550. Nuff said. I wanted a better bike. Dependable, fast, a head turner. Well I can not afford to pay alot of money for a toy and I didn´t. I visited My local Harley shop and was in awe with the selection. I thought for sure that I would end up with a Sporster and I was alright with that. But I saw that Dyna Superglide with the V Twin motor, lower than the 1200 Sportster and only Dollars 4,000 dollars more. I was dealing with money my father left me when he past away so I couldn´t spend it all. But I could dip in to it to buy this ride. I took my new bike out for a long ride. I live near Seattle so I took the ferry and was surprised by the attention I received. Lets face it, people like Harleys and wnat to have one. Mine rides like the wind and turns heads too! The Super Glide is sporty in the turns and good for the long haul. This is not a Softail Fat Bob, Roadking or Electraglide. It just takes the same motor (88 C.I. V-Twin Cam), a seat, wheels and you hit the road. There´s less aftermarket parts it seems at first, but once you dig in and search around you can make this the ride of you dreams! People who don´t know Harleys don´t know it´s not a top of the line touring bike, they just see HARLEY DAVIDSON on the tank! I have been riding for 12 years and this is the first bike I am actually proud to own. OH yeah also...thanks to my dad. He would love to see this! | |
