Review of the 2004 Derbi GP1:Incredible scooter! |

The best built, least known high-performance 50cc scooter there is. | ||||||
I have owned a 2004 GP1 for several years now. I fell in love with the look, but what really wowed me was the performance. It´s punchy little two-stroke, liquid cooled motor coupled with fat, sticky tires on 13´ rims makes for heart pounding performance. Sure, your not gonna outrun that big cruiser or sport bike, but then they can´t make a u-turn in a phone booth at 40mph! And the twin disc brakes will stop this scoot on a dime (which saved my fanny a few times!). I could go on and on about this magnificent scooter - dead reliable, cheap to own, easy to work on, etc. - but the operative word for it is FUN. It´s like a go-cart on two wheels! |
