My Dollars 1000 fj1100

Got very lucky, I got a good one.


 
  About a year ago I paid a thousand dollars for my 85 fj 1100. It had been on its side once and wasn´t
scraped up to bad. It had been in a storage garage for 8 years. The manager was unaware that It was even there. I cleaned the tank, took the
carbs off a couple of times, unclogged the pilot
jets, I changed the oil a few times and got a new battery and bingo, I had a runner, a strong runner.
Darn these bikes are fast. I´ve wanted one for years and found it in my home town on Craigslist.
I´m almost 60 years old so the riding position, although some say is one of the best, hurts my
ankles and hips a little, but an hour or two in the saddle and I´ve got my fix. The 3rd gear roll on
Is competitive with newer bikes, but turning and stopping takes some getting used to. I will never sell this bike, I promise.
