Great bike and I put 62K miles on her in 5 years with no problems.

I loved this bike, but it had to go due to things beyond my control. I put a lot of miles on her (62,000) without any mechanical problems. She does like to eat up tires though. I couldn´t get over 10K out of a set of tires due to the torque. The fuel injection is great. The bike is a little top heavy and doesn´t handle well at parking lot speeds. But if you want a road bike that will take you anywhere the VTX-1800 is it. I had the retro model and had it all deck out w/ windshield, mustang seat, back rest, saddlebags, passenger floorboards, lowers, tank bib, tripouch, luggage rack and engine guard. It is a heavy bike, but well worth having. | |
