This was my first bike

I bought a 1983 Kawasaki 750 LTD out of the back of a refridgeration plant from an owner who won it in a contest of some sorts and only put 800 miles on it in the first six years he owned it. I paid Dollars 850. (I know, a deal and a steal. If I knew then what I know now...) cash for it in 1989. It served me well until I had to sell it in 1992. It met it´s demise when a deer crossed it´s path on a lone stretch of Oregon highway about a month after I sold it (bummer). During my time with the bike. I never had a single problem with it whatsoever. It always started at the first try. I never did anything but purrrr and roar. During the long Oregon winters (about 5 days to a couple weeks max) it patiently waited under heavy snowfall (about 1-5 inches max.) and as soon as the first rain melted aways the last (and first) snow, this baby again, purrrrred to life. This is a little to no maintenance Standard Bike. No accessories needed. Perfect to learn on, perfect for commuting, perfect for street or highway. If you have the chance to purchase on of these in good to excellent condition, you´ll find that it does not fail you. | |
