aprilia rx50, top speed aprently 60 or just over that | ||||||
Advantages speed Disadvantages sound of revs dropping, which u do a lot of in town with ppl doin 30 wen u want to do 50 this bike has an imense powerband from about 7 thousand rpm up to 10000 beyond this it wil go but it wnt get there quikly so u may as wel change up a gear. ive got a leo vinci sport exhaust on it wich increases the power so much, even frm a fully derestricted standard pipe. it tends to slip out of gear a a bit if u rag it, but it is great for reving up down the high street. ive never taken the bike above 10000 revs, as i cnt aford a new barrel/piston. Parts are expensive, hence y i dnt wana rag the engine to its max [yet] lol, and cornering is epic on this thing, even with the upright postion it can stil go round a roundabout with ur leg nerly touching the ground, just watch out for wet drain hole covers :D. the looks of this bike atracts loads of atention, gd for showing off but not good cos police tend to notice u and pull u over. the exhaust i hav is so loud wen u rev it, i revved it to ten in 2nd in underground car park and two girls covered their ears it was echoing so much. off road the bike is a lot of fun, it wil go offroad well but it takes ages to clean it again so i dnt bother goin ne more. it grips in mud really well, it never once slipped unles i put the bak brake on, or tried to spin the bak wheel out and do donuts. relaiblity wise it is brilliant, even with all the reving i do it has never once failed to start, normally does it in 2 kicks with full choke, but i always warm it up for about 2 mintues then ride slowly and gradulay go faster, not like a derbi senda nr me who rags it into the red dead cold. o and dnt forget it can out run a 70cc scooter , one cos u can hold it in gear for longer and build the revs, and two cos it corners better and scooters hav to slow down more. pulling away with 8000 revs and slower clutch release means u can out do most cars up to 20 sometimes 30 mph, then they tend to overtake u . mine wil lift off the ground at traffic lights without me leaning bak but for a full wheelie u just lean bak so ur over the sissy bar and rev it up and u can keep goin as long as ur talent takes u , in my case, 21 seconds but i got scared cos i cdnt see veri much in frnt of me :D only could see the sky. run it on fully synthetic two stroke oil, not the shitty garden mower oil, for full power u need full synthetic, castrol is best, it means ur exhaust doesnt get clogged up half as much so u hav more power and performance. i timed this bike at 0 to 40 in 12 seconds and that was up to 9thousand in each gear until fifth so it wd do it in in less than that, maybe 9 seconds or so, past that it wil take around 35 seconds to reach 60, or so im told. at least u can skid bak tyre out a lot more, if u hav knobblies like me it takes a lot more time b4 u get to minimum depth, gr8 if u hav no job like me :D running it costs me between 5 and ten pounds a week but i do between 100 and 200 miles a week, i go our for hrs sumtimes. the one litre oil tank wil last for about 5 or 6 petrol refills, and then its bout 10 quid to fill that bak up, but its totally worth the money.
