low maintenance costs,great fuelmileage,comforteable,fun,but odd looking | ||||||
Mostly ,my 11,000 miles have been commuting,-35 miles one way.This in nice twisty back roads,smooth blacktop,with top speeds around 70mph. I have had the rear tire slide three times,and has broken loose soo gradually,then regained traction the same way,that no input from me was needed! I found this trait surprising,as any of my past bikes would have spit me off,- hi-or-low. On these backroads, the Strom gets the best mileage for me. Surprising,because I´m always running thru´the gears.The best tank-full being 63.5 mpg!. the worst tank, when almost new,was 52.mpg,while doing 70-80 on the interstate. |
