What it did well it did very well...what it did poorly it did really badd!!!! | ||
Synopsis...three years, 8500 miles, one throttle cable, one clutch cable, FIVE condencers (for right cylinder), and ONE ENGINE (they put a 350 crank in and welded additional weight to the cheeks to ballance the larger diamimeter pistons of the 500, at 8400 miles one of the welds broke. Write off one engine. Under threat of small claims suit they furnished new engine/tranny, I paid labor. Two weeks later bike was stolen...best thing ever happened to me. Got a BMW R65 put 155,000 miles on it, sold it still running great for a R1100RS...95000 Miles so far NOT ONE REPAIR! (except normal maintainance) I will not buy another Ducatti! |
