This is my all time favorite bike. I have owned several, most stock some not. Handles great for a cruiser, smokes the old V-Max dragon as well as the ZX10, but the short coming is the lower end. Almost anyone who has owned a v65 and has pushed it to it´s limits more than a few times will tell you tales of bent shifting forks. A very expensive repair and not a doit yourself fix. This is a complicated engine case to split but getting the trans undercut before you bend the shiftings adds performance and prevents the advent of the lowwer unit issues. This is an easy clasic 80´s bike to find and a blast to restore. My last one was bottle fed and blown turning in the lowwer to mid 8´s. However even stock this is deffinately not a starter bike, no or limitted experiance need not ride. | |
