This was the second cheapest Harley in 1989 - the only cheaper one was the 883 standard

The Deluxe has a pair of rubber rear footpegs and a 2-up seat as hard as a plank - that was the only difference! Not a bad bike - watch the alternator rotor magnets as they can come off from their strange position behind the clutch shell and really cause some problems. This is a very expensive fix, and expect it to happen before about 50,000 miles. the cam follower in the transmission is also a weak point and can be replaced with a steel one which solves this issue. Nice power delivery, good looking bike.
