MY ALL-TIME FAVORITE BIKE
| |
|
I wanted one of these in 1979, but the military sent me away until 84. I saw a used one in a showroom in 84. I was going to buy it and told the dealer how I wished I had been able to buy one new. Surprise! They had brand new 1982 models in the warehouse in Jacksonville, Florida. I got a brand new one in four days for Dollars 2,300 in Jan 85. I got the silver with blue trim. I got stupid in 1998 and sold it for a CBR600F3. I loved the looks, rideability, and reliability. I rode it over 50K miles; several 2,500+ trips. Not as comfortable as my Harleys. Not as powerful as my ZRX1200. Not as racy as the F3. Still, this was my favorite bike of all time and I think the most beautiful standard bike ever produced ANYWHERE BY ANYBODY! | |
