Bought this 125 for my son. I have many years of riding experience .last 4 bikes, Yamaha MT01, Triumph Tiger 800, Harley XR1200 and Harley XL1200. I ran it in for him over the first 400 miles.... so here goes... | ||||||

Bit nervous of riding such a small low powered bike after my usual giant the MT01. Fell completely in love with this Aprilia. Quite simply the best handling bike I have ever ridden. Goes round corners on rails and stops like its hit a brick wall. Once run in the quick shifter allows very quick gear changes which make the most of the bikes power band (8 to 11 k). My son has now done 2000 miles on the bike and loves every bit of it. On the twisty corners of Snake pass and particularly the road linking the Woodhead and Snake pass (loads of twisty bits) nothing will get past this bike. Of course on the straights bigger bikes will piss past it . another 10 hp in this chassis and the bike would be absolutely awesome. Still ,as it is, very very good. We also have the excellent KTM Duke 125, Good but this Aprilia is better. recommended. |
