Review of the 1992 Gilera Saturno 500:

Saturno with Piuma engine

As owner of a Nuovo Saturno it is probably the nicest bike I have ever posseded.
It has an excellent road capability and steers even better as the racer Piuma.

The only weak point of the Saturno is the ratio´s of the gearbox. Because the engine is original an off the road example, there is a gap between 4 and 5 gear.
I owned a spare engine 558 cc from a Pium with a close ratio gearbox (very rare). I builded this in my Saturmo. 45 Hp on the rearwheel, a complete different bike, much faster, topspeed almost 200 km/hr and the gearbox excellent with high speed.
