The Kawasaki 1500 Drifter has everything you could want | ||||||

The Drifter is a great bike, with a few character flaws. I have owned mine for 4 years and have 40 thousand miles on her. The only improvements I have made to her is upgrading the suspension to Progressive 440´s on the rear and Prog. springs in the forks. It solves the problem of this big bike ´wallowing´ thru hard lean turns. I do love to lean a bike way over and the Drifter would always feel squishy and jump (Penna. roads are not known to be smooth) from one side of the lane to the next. The bike now rides like it should. The next improvement made was the airfilter. I went with K and N because stock was a simple paper element that helped to hold back some of that engines power. You will notice a slight improvement on fuel economy with the K and N. Add a Fire and steel windshield and lowers and you are all set. Stock it is a good bike with a few aftermarket tweeks, it is a great bike. You can´t own a bike like this without people coming over constantly to oogle over it. |
