Review of the 1976 Yamaha XS 360 C:Excellent bike for in town and all-day rides |

Owned XS360 for ten years now and it has always been a favorite. It might not be the fastest bike, but it has always done everything I´ve asked of it. | ||||||

The bike has great handling, I can even take 35 mph turns at 55 or even 60 mph. Rides great with a passenger. The bike does lack power, there is a dead spot in the throttle that really acts up in 4th, 5th, and 6th gear. Owned the bike for ten years and spent lots of time fixing it up. When I got it, the previous owner had but the wrong battery in and tried to run the bike with the poles reversed. After several years, I have now replaced all of the electrical components. The bike is very easy to work on and fun to ride. I have replaced the rear sprocket with a 39 tooth one from an XS400 just to get a little more top speed, but it ran just fine with the original. Had to replace petcock, because the bike would pour gas into the carbs, down into the cylinders, and fill the crank when left in the on position. Works fine now and the bike has never started easier. This is a great bike to tinker on and great for all day riding. While it doesn´t turn heads for speed or size, I always get older riders coming up and telling me how they used to have one just like it. |
